my name is Ali.

I enjoy spoken word so I decided to take it up as a hobby. This blog is me sharing my work, my thoughts, cool videos I find and all that other jazz.

A lot of people ask me why I named my blog "The Visible Minority Speaks" Well, as a person of colour, I find that my voice is seldomly heard or misrepresented. My art, my words, my rhymes, are my way of having my own voice and speaking my own thoughts.

listen to the voice of the minority. it may be subtle, it may be quiet, but it's there. and eventually, it will get louder.
