Who says a poem has to be a cascade of verses? Sometimes, 10 lines are enough to get the point across
I rather.
I rather be a victim of the streets
as if the concrete, could creep up and
kill me in, cold blood than,
become a victim of love.
I rather repeat the severity of the harsh things
life can do to me
than to compete with the insecurities
of and emotion that has never been kind to me see,
I rather have a broken neck
Than another broken heart.
